The Aucourte Series
Step into a world of affluence and grand estates, existing parallel with real poverty and social injustice.
• British historical fiction rooted in real research
• Emotionally complex family saga, where the rigid hierarchies of society mask the universal human desires that connect us all
• Nobility + household dynamics
• Romance that isn’t too saccharine
• Characters who are flawed, layered, and human
• A long‑arc series beginning with the Aucourte family in the Victorian summer of 1892
This is storytelling that sweeps across generations, revealing how love, duplicity, and hidden fears shape not just individual lives but entire families. Here you'll find the intimate drama of personal relationships set against the broader canvas of social change - where a chance encounter can alter destinies and where the bonds between people sometimes matter more than the accidents of birth.
The Earl's Daughter is the opening book in the Aucourte Series and an introduction to the Aucourte family whose lives unfold through the challenges of love, death and marriage against the changing backdrop of Victorian England.

Harry
New books to come in the series: This September work began on the next family tale. With the working title of 'Vicky'. Vicky is the lively, inquisitive and, sometimes irritating, younger sister of Alice the main character in The Earl's Daughter, who, after being thrown over in the second book in the series goes off on her own adventure. Be prepared to find her very much grown up, with shocking secrets of her own when she returns.
Also the plan, is book four. The first to have a 'below stairs' person as the central character. It will be 'Harry', currently the most popular free short story when you join the readers club, Harry has been so much in demand it was decided he should have his own full book. And leading up to Harry's main book, I shall be releasing three or more Amazon quick reads, exclusive to Amazon.
