The Earl’s Daughter: One Month On

It’s hard to believe that The Earl’s Daughter has already been out in the world for nearly a full month. Book launches are always nerve-racking; a strange mixture of dread, doubts and daring, hardly believing you've done it, while clinging on to the hope that the story will find the readers it was written for. And I’m delighted to say that The Earl's Daughter has begun to do exactly that.
In these first weeks, I’ve been especially touched by the early reviews. "Beautiful romance", "Downton Abbey vibes" "Delightful and engaging" Even the three star reviewers had good things to say, making it clear the book is not bad, just not to their personal taste. So with a healthy mix of 5, 4 and 3 star reviews all looks well for the moment.
And now here we go... the first 30 critical days after publication are coming to an end, but orders are still coming in and with the book available at most online retailers I am feeling it's been a good start. A slow burn just like the book itself, which seems appropriate.
If you’ve read The Earl's Daughter already, thank you. If you’ve left a review, an even bigger thank you. And if you’re just joining me on this journey, I hope you enjoy what’s ahead. More news soon about the second book in the series.
But in the meantime, here’s to month two.
