Countdown to Publication Day
Welcome to the final stretch before The Earl’s Daughter steps out into the world on 1 June 2026. It’s hard to believe we’re this close. This book has been quietly taking shape behind the scenes for a long time, and watching it move from idea to manuscript to finished novel has been one of the most absorbing projects of my writing life.
For anyone new to my corner of the internet: I previously spent several years writing contemporary romance before feeling the pull toward something richer, slower‑burn, and more deeply rooted in family and legacy. That shift led me to historical family‑saga romance, and a large and complex aristocratic Victorian family. The Aucourtes, whose world forms the heart of this new series.
The Earl’s Daughter is the first full novel in the Aucourte Chronicles. Bringing it to life has meant years, of research, rewrites, and the kind of detail‑hunting demanded for historical fiction. It has been challenging, rewarding, occasionally frustrating, and completely all‑consuming. But worth every moment.
Join the ARC Team
If you enjoy reading early copies and leaving reviews, the ARC team for The Earl’s Daughter is open for a little longer. The closing date is 22nd May 2026, and I’d love to welcome a few more readers before the window closes.
A Taste of the Series — Free
If you’d like a quick introduction to the tone and emotional landscape of the Aucourte Chronicles, the prequel short-story Primroses & Wine is available free. It offers a short, atmospheric glimpse into the world of the Aucourtes, and is a thank you gift when you join the Readers' Club mailing list. Apart from short works like this, members get a weekly newsletter, containing writing news and gossip, and behind‑the‑scenes notes.
Publication day is almost here. I can’t wait!
